House System
A school house system was introduced in October 2004. Following a competition among all pupils the house names were chosen to represent local place names within the parish of Trull.
The Houses are:
Cotlake
Eastbrook
Gatchell
Kibbear
All children in each Class are assigned to one of the Houses, siblings will belong to the same House. There is a House Captain in each Class. Each House has a colour:
Cotlake - Blue
Eastbrook - Red
Gatchell - Green
Kibbear - Yellow
The House System is based on a points system, points are awarded for positive actions. The points are issued by staff and tallied up by the Class Teachers. Each week a trophy is presented to the House that gained most points during the previous week and the trophy displays the appropriate colour ribbon for that winner. As part of the School Travel Plan we can now gain housepoints if we walk to school, this includes if we have to drive so far but then can park the car in someone's drive so we don't cause traffic jams in the village.
