Meet the Staff at Trull Church of England VA Primary School

Hello, I am Heather Cunningham, Head Teacher at Trull Primary School.

I have been Headteacher since 2004 and really enjoy being at Trull. Each new school year I look forward to meeting all our new pupils and facing all the challenges and opportunities associated with the teaching environment.

I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE YOU TO SOME OF OUR TEACHING STAFF:
Meet Mrs Morton (on left of photo) and Mrs Wintrip our Reception Class Teachers. Mrs Morton also leads our science curriculum. Class R, our Foundation Stage children, also has a full-time teaching assistant, Mrs Sparks who is also our leading first-aider and takes an active and supportive role in caring for all our pupils.
Mrs Wintrip is our subject leader for Art and Design, she has a job share with Mrs Morton and teaches the class for two days each week, she also runs the Gardening Club after school.

Meet Mrs Wardell and Miss Lown the class teachers for Year 1.

Mrs Wardell runs the after school clubs for Country Dancing, Maypole Dancing and Sword Dancing, she also leads our PHSE curriculum.

Mr Bottomley is our Year 2 class teacher and is the subject leader for RE and Collective Worship.

Mrs Wilkins is the job-share teacher for this class for one day each week.

This year we welcome Miss Moore as the teacher for Year 3.

Mr Lloyd is the Deputy Head and Teacher of Year 4.  He is the subject leader for History & Geography and is line manager for all non-teaching staff.
Mr Hawkins is our new class teacher for Year 4.

Our Year 6 teacher is Mr Biddles. He has the important role of preparing the children for their move to secondary education.  He is subject leader for Maths, ICT and Assessment.

Mr Biddles has a great sense of humour and he loves cars.

We have a very strong Learning Development Team led by Mrs Rachel Cerullo our SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).  We have a committed team of professionals who assist children if they need extra help with reading, maths or other skills. This is extended to guide those who need extra help to understand and those who need to improve their knowledge.
There is a Sports Club for children who need to improve motor and coordination skills.
Gifted children are also helped by the team in group sessions.
