Meet the Staff at Trull Church of England VA Primary School

Hello, I am Heather Cunningham, Head Teacher at Trull Primary School.

I have been Headteacher since 2004 and really enjoy being at Trull. Each new school year I look forward to meeting all our new pupils and facing all the challenges and opportunities associated with the teaching environment.

I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE YOU TO SOME OF OUR TEACHING STAFF:
Meet Mrs Morton (on left of photo) and Mrs Wintrip our Reception Class Teachers. Mrs Morton also leads our science curriculum. Class R, our Foundation Stage children, also has a full-time teaching assistant, Mrs Sparks who is also our leading first-aider and takes an active and supportive role in caring for all our pupils.
Mrs Wintrip is our subject leader for Art and Design, she has a job share with Mrs Morton and teaches the class for two days each week, she also runs the Gardening Club after school.
Mrs Wardell is the Class Teacher for Year 1. She also runs the after school clubs for Country Dancing, Maypole Dancing, Sword Dancing and short tennis. Mrs Wardell leads our PHSE curriculum.
Mrs Morrice and Mrs Cerrullo are the Class Teachers Year 2.  Mrs Morrice is also the subject leader for RE and Collective Worship.  Mrs Morrice maintains close links with a village in Ghana which she has visited several times, this has enabled her to introduce a multi-cultural element across the curriculum for all classes. She also supports Fair Trade and has monthly sales of their goods in the playground.
Mrs Cerrullo has a job-share with Mrs Morrice and teaches the class for two days each week, Mrs Cerullo is also our SENCo (please see below for photo).

This is Miss Paulin, current Year 3 Class Teacher.  She is the subject leader for PE.

Mr Lloyd is the Deputy Head and Teacher of Year 4. He is the subject leader for History & Geography and is line manager for all non-teaching staff.
Miss Roberts is our music specialist and Class Teacher for Year 5 and the subject leader for Literacy and Music.  She organises and runs the school choir and oversees the school orchestra which is led by Mrs Francombe. We are recognised throughout the area to have a high percentage of extremely talented and able musicians among our pupils.
Mr Fisher is Year 6 Class Teacher and prepares the children for their move to secondary education. He is subject leader for Maths and ICT. His interests include music and sports. He also coordinates our annual sports day.
We have a very strong Learning Development Team led by Mrs Rachel Cerullo our SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).  We have a committed team of professionals who assist children if they need extra help with reading, maths or other skills. This is extended to guide those who need extra help to understand and those who need to improve their knowledge.
There is a Sports Club for children who need to improve motor and coordination skills.
Gifted children are also helped by the team in group sessions.
